My love for travel started from an early age. My parents took me to different destinations every summer, but it was during my first long haul trip to New Zealand at the age of 14 that I knew this was an industry I wanted to explore a career in.
During my time at university studying International Tourism, I had the opportunity to live in Australia for 6 months, giving me the chance to explore the iconic sights and landscapes of this amazing country.
Since then I haven’t looked back, and I have been working within the industry for ten years. What I love about my job is having the chance to share my personal experience and give first-hand suggestions on places and hotels I have visited. The fact that every client’s requirements or holidays are different keeps it so interesting for me.
This is a tough one but, for me, it has to be Australia. It is a destination that offers such variety in scenery and activities for all ages; you can go from experiencing the city to trekking in the outback, relaxing on the beach, and seeing some of the wonders of the world - all in one trip!
There are a few that spring to mind… Seeing Orangutans in their natural environment in Borneo; snorkelling at Lady Elliott Island in Australia; taking my first helicopter ride to Whitehaven beach in the Whitsundays and having a picnic on the beach - I have never seen such white sand!
Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains is a firm favourite of mine. Not only is the location breathtaking, but the accommodation also comprises individual luxury villas with private swimming pools and log fires – perfect for whatever time of year you visit!
There are so many activities which can be pre-booked - including horse riding, wildlife tours, and conservation tours of the site to learn about its history. You can also enjoy incredible, locally-produced food and wine in the main lodge house.

• Always pack a change of clothes (plus swimwear if needed!) in your hand luggage so if you can’t access your room on arrival, you can make the most of the hotel facilities and hit the pool straight away!
• When flying long haul, change your watch to local time as soon as you board, helping you to adjust to that time zone and lessening the jet lag.
