The differing destinations around the world have always intrigued me. Leaning about different cultures and landscapes and how they were formed I find incredibly informative and interesting. Despite how stunning some of the resorts are across the globe it’s the areas that encourage the great outdoors like Yosemite National Park that appeal to me the most. I studied Travel & Tourism in college which enforced my view that my passion was going to be my career.
Where I have travelled recently
Last year a few friends and I hired a car and travelled around the southeast corner of Spain. We explored this picturesque coastline from Malaga down to Estepona where we found a peaceful shipping port with numerous restaurants and bars to relax during the sunset and enjoy some incredible seafood.
Most Memorable Experience
I visited Zimbabwe for nearly a month to see my family who lived out there. I had the opportunity to see Victoria Falls, a number of game reserves, stunning hotels and we also spent a week on a boat on Lake Kariba. I slept on the top deck with nothing but a mosquito net between me and the stars, only to be woken up by lions about 100m away.
My Favourite Destination
I’d have to say Las Vegas, I saw the Clique Du Soleil show Le Reve at the Wynn’s theatre (real edge of your seat stuff), I landed in the iconic Grand Canyon after a helicopter tour with Maverick, and I also enjoyed a steak dinner at Smith & Wollensky’s where my chef was my waiter. What impressed me most about Las Vegas is that it has the attractions, facilities and service to appeal to everyone of all ages and backgrounds.
My Favourite Accommodation
Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas – I stayed in a studio terrace at the contemporary and well located Cosmopolitan hotel which is one of only a few strip based hotels that offer balconies. this hotel’s location in the middle of the strip next to the Bellagio is perfect. It also has a buffet restaurant called the Wicked Spoon which offers Champagne and Lobster; I soon discovered this to be one of the quickest ways to my heart.
