CharlotteTravel Specialist at the Inspiring Travel Company
I was fortunate to live abroad as a child and enjoyed holidays with my family and learning languages too, so travel was always something I was interested in. After college, I worked as cabin crew for a European airline for three years, first based out of Germany and then the South of France. My first love for long haul travel came from a trip to the Caribbean coast of Florida. I was wowed by the clear blue colour of the sea and the white, powder soft sand. I knew then that I just had to see what beautiful places the world has to offer.
I have seen so many incredible sights but my favourite travel moment to date is in India where I remember standing out on my balcony at The Oberoi Amarvillas which looked out towards the Taj Mahal, watching the sunset and listening to the beautiful sounds of the call to prayer in the distance. I feel incredibly lucky for this experience.
This question gets harder the more that I travel as I just love to experience new places. My kind of holiday is a destination which offers great weather, beautiful beaches for relaxation but also the opportunity to explore the local area and immerse myself in the local culture. For these reasons, the Caribbean is likely to remain my favourite part of the world for my holidays but there is still so much left to explore. I love Barbados, and Grenada would be my next choice when I do return to the Caribbean.
All the hotels are beautiful, it is so hard to choose a favourite one! I recently stayed at 7Pines in Ibiza which offers fantastic views of the sea from the adults-only infinity pool. This hotel is situated on the coast and the hotel can help arrange hiking tours around the local area and a guided walk around Ibiza Old Town. Doing yoga in the morning while enjoying a panoramic view of the sea and the sunrise is a beautiful way to start the day.
Service Commitment From You
I provide a friendly but professional service and love the attention to detail so I will often make suggestions to help customers make the most of their holiday. Holidays can create such lovely memories and I love to check in with my clients on their return to check that they had a great time.
Your Top Tips for Travellers
• I love starting my holiday in the comfort of an airport lounge: Relax away from the busy airport departure lounge, enjoy a small meal or some snacks and maybe a glass of something bubbly too!
• For those that are fair like me and not always ‘best friends’ with the sun, remember to pop a bottle of Aloe Vera after sun in the hotel minibar so that it’s cold when you need it.
• Pack handy travel essentials such as travel adapters early so you know you have got them before you go.
