The travel bug runs through my veins… if there’s an exciting opportunity to see somewhere new, I’m there! I love everything about travel, from the moment I start packing my suitcase (at least a few days before I am due to fly) to stepping on board my flight.

I can’t count the number of times my hotel room has bought me tears of joy – I have been lucky enough to have stayed at so many amazing resorts and hotels.

Favourite Places

As you can see from my travel portfolio, North America, the Caribbean and Italy each hold a special place in my heart, and I am always trying to widen my knowledge and expertise of these amazing countries as much as possible. What I particularly love about them is the sheer diversity that they can offer; the experiences, the people, the food, the culture, the beach, and the pulse of vibrant cities.

The top two experiences of my life, so far, have been spotting my first wild bear in Denali National Park and travelling aboard the Venice-Simplon Orient Express.

Travel Tips

• If you are visiting theme parks in the USA, walk anti-clockwise around the park. People seem to always walk clockwise, so the queues at the rides are always longer going that way!
• In Rome, always eat away from the main street. For example, the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum are unmissable, but after visiting I recommend stepping somewhere less commercial (such as the Trastevere District) to eat: restaurants always inflate their prices and often charge for outside tables in those busy tourist areas (this tip works for any European city in general… head away from the main squares and tourist attractions at mealtimes if you can.)
• To grab the best deals when travelling to Mauritius during off-peak season, stay on the west coast. The mountain range that runs through Mauritius acts as a good wind and rain barrier, and the weather is often fairer over on the east during Mauritius’ winter months (typically May - October).
