I have worked in travel for over 15 years and thoroughly enjoy discovering the world. I have obtained extensive knowledge and after visiting so many fantastic holiday destinations, I soon realised that my future lay in luxury travel. I feel privileged to work in this wonderful and exciting industry; I've travelled throughout Europe and have enjoyed luxury trips to Malaysia, the Seychelles, Mauritius, Thailand and other incredible places around the world. I've also cruised around the Caribbean quite extensively and I have enjoyed the varied cuisine from the ports of call. I call this experience ‘tastes of the islands’!
Next on my list to visit is the naturally beautiful Maldives. With picture perfect sandy beaches, swaying palm trees, crystal clear turquoise waters with an abundance of spectacular and colourful wildlife to discover. I want to snorkel amongst the turtles, manta rays and even sharks! With wonderful year round weather coupled with some of the worlds most luxurious hotels to indulge my every whim. It sounds heavenly to me.
Thailand - I love the contrast between bustling Bangkok and the slower pace of the islands like Phuket, Phi Phi, Koh Samui and Krabi. I recommend you take a tuk tuk to Patpong night market in Bangkok or a boat trip on the Chaophraya River to see such cultural sights as the Grand Palace, or to one of the many Buddhist temples. Enjoy a cocktail in one of the sky bars located on the top of your hotel and take in the incredible view. In Krabi, I enjoyed the spectacular scenery of the lush, green rainforest, sandy idyllic beaches and white limestone formations which protrude majestically from the sea. Gorgeous!
Malaysia - I did a twin centre with Kuala Lumpur. I shopped in the KLCC premier shopping mall and took photos of the fabulous Petronas Twin Towers. The night markets are worth a visit and don’t forget to barter – the locals will expect it. I enjoyed the tasty dining options with a fusion of Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine to tempt your taste buds. Try it, I am sure you won’t be disappointed! Langkawi is a wonderful and almost unspoilt island just a one hour flight away. You can take a jungle trek in the rainforest, swim in the emerald green waters of the Andaman Sea, take a trip to a waterfall or head out on a boat trip to a secluded island. Watch out for those cheeky monkeys that roam freely around Langkawi though!
