In June I was lucky enough to enjoy a 5-night stay in Dubai courtesy of the Inspiring Travel Company!
My journey began at the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Wing at London Heathrow. An exceptional way to start your holiday; from here you can have a “drive thru” check-in from the comfort of your car, enjoy a beauty treatment in the Cowshed spa, get your hair cut, or just start your holiday with a drink in the roof garden.
Dubai is just a 7 hour flight from the UK, which is ideal for those wanting guaranteed weather without having to endure a long-haul flight.
Our home for the first 2 nights was the Anantara The Palm; this is a unique Thai inspired resort located on the Eastern Crescent of the iconic Palm. The tranquil feel of the resort makes you believe that you could actually be in Thailand but with all the highlights of Dubai within easy reach.
Dubai is full of fantastic attractions to suit all ages and I would say a ‘must do’ is a water park. Should you wish to get your adrenaline going, or just to chill out on the pristine beach, Aquaventure Water Park located at Atlantis the Palm ticks all the boxes.
One of the newest additions to Dubai’s ever growing portfolio of hotels is Four Seasons Dubai. This hotel boasts the typical understated luxury that the Four Seasons brand does so well along with a subtle Arabic feel so you know you’re in the Middle East.
Whether it’s your first time in Dubai or your tenth time, I would highly recommend taking a Seawings Seaplane tour. You will get to experience Dubai from an aerial view with spectacular views of Dubai's iconic Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, The World and Palm Jumeirah. This was one of my favourite experiences on this trip.
Another ‘must’ is the Burj Khalifa; the tallest building in the world. Enough said! You can view Dubai from the observation decks located on levels 124 and 148, or enjoy a spot of afternoon tea in the Atmosphere Restaurant located on level 122.
Whether you’re travelling as a family, couple or just for a girlie weekend away, Dubai has something for everyone. Guaranteed weather, fantastic hotels, amazing cuisine, pristine beaches, shopping like nowhere else. It definitely ticks all the boxes…
