Here at the Inspiring Travel Company we’re always delighted to bring you the latest news from our luxury cruise partners at Regent Seven Seas.

This summer, 2016, the brand will welcome “The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built™” to its fleet in the form of Seven Seas Explorer®.

Offering all-inclusive provision at its very finest, passengers can expect a very special, and indulgent, experience on this elegant vessel. Take for example its stunning outdoor space, where the pool is enclosed by teak decking and oversized sun loungers. The water at one end is perfectly shallow for guests to simply dip their toes in, and a stage area ensures musical performances have a very unique poolside vantage point.

Back in November, the magnificent ship floated off her building dock in Fincantieri, Genoa and the construction moved to focus on glittering interiors. Some 375 suites onboard are offered in ten categories; with accommodation to suit every discerning traveller. Highlights include the largest verandahs in the cruise industry, European king-sized Suite Slumber Beds and spacious bathrooms. All suites have a private balcony; a secluded spot to view the spectacular vistas on your itinerary too. Options vary from the 307 square-foot Veranda Suite, to the lavish 3,875 square-foot Regent Suite.

These specifications are matched by exciting itineraries, including the ship's maiden voyage from Monte Carlo to Venice, when lucky guests will have 14 nights to soak up the luxury onboard and enjoy unlimited shore excursions along the glamorous Mediterranean coast. Later journeys will take in Athens, Jerusalem and even cross the Atlantic to Miami and the Caribbean.

Alongside these exceptional itineraries, which will see you exploring fascinating destinations on your chosen route, Seven Seas Explorer will boast the brand’s first “culinary instruction centre: the Culinary Arts Kitchen”. Budding chefs and gastronomes with a palate for fine fare will love the Culinary Arts Kitchen, where 18 individual cooking stations are used to give guests individual instruction. Top of the range equipment is used to deliver classes on a wide range of culinary topics, including healthy cooking, fish and shellfish, food and wine pairing and classes inspired by the destinations visited by the ship.

And the joy doesn't end there for foodies. With the new Gourmet Explorer Tours guests can enjoy a coordinated experience of the Mediterranean's gastronomic heritage both onboard and during shore excursions. Each Gourmet Explorer Tour will be accompanied by the chef instructor from the Culinary Arts Kitchen and a specialist local guide, often a chef too, to add an extra layer of authenticity to this immersive culinary experience. Artisanal cheese making in Sorrento; wine-tasting in Monte Carlo; touring the Central Market of Casablanca; there are so many possibilities!
