Sandy Lane is perhaps the most iconic hotel on Barbados’ exclusive west coast. Synonymous with exceptional luxury travel, the faultless resort is well established as the place to see and be seen on an island famed for its A-list holidaymakers, yet attention to detail and truly outstanding service mean that every guest here feels like a VIP.

Whatever your requirements for a luxury holiday in Barbados, Sandy Lane will go beyond your expectations in every arena, from the spaciousness and classic style of every accommodation option, to the warm welcome you receive from experienced staff. Sound appealing? Let us show you around…

An enviable beachside location

The hotel’s stellar beachfront location is a draw for all guests. Unspoilt white shores meet the brilliant azure of the Caribbean Sea in a setting that epitomises the beauty of the aptly named ‘Platinum Coast’. Couples in search of an intimate escape will love the romance of a candlelit dinner on the beach here, while for kids, there’s no better place to build sandcastles or splash around in the shallows.

Decadent dining

Guests in search of a truly special fine-dining experience need look no further than the hotel’s signature à la carte restaurant L’Acajou; the columned terrace here is the perfect place to watch the Caribbean sunset on a special evening. Sunday brunch is something of an institution in Barbados, and nowhere more so than at Bajan Blue, Sandy Lane’s beachside restaurant. The popularity of this sumptuous buffet means booking is essential, even if you’re a guest at the hotel!

Fun for youngsters

Family-friendly luxury abounds here too, with the excellent Treehouse Club providing action-packed fun for youngsters aged three-years-old and up, while ‘The Den’ caters to teenage guests. During school holidays, there are also special programmes for all the family to enjoy, and throughout the summer you’ll find Summer Sports Camps on designated weeks, which include complimentary golf, tennis, waterskiing and football sessions for seven to 16-year-olds.

Sporting greats

For those who like to stay active whilst away, there’s plenty to please. Barbados boasts some of the best golf facilities in the world and Sandy Lane itself has three championship-style courses, two of which – The Country Club and the famous Green Monkey course – were designed by Tom Fazio. There’s also a 450-yard driving range where you can perfect your shots. Elsewhere there are eight floodlit tennis courts, use of which is complimentary for guests, and a professional coach can be booked for a lesson should you wish. In addition there are two paddle tennis courts, a well-equipped fitness centre and, of course, a host of watersports to try out on the Caribbean Sea.

Rest and rejuvenation

For many, holidays are all about escaping the rush of day-to-day life and taking the opportunity to enjoy some well-earned rest; whether reclining by the pool with a cocktail or strolling along the platinum sands, there’s plenty of opportunity to do that here. The Spa at Sandy Lane offers luxurious indulgence within the majestic surrounds of its 47,000 square-foot Romanesque building. Alongside enjoying tailored treatments using products by Margy’s Monte Carlo and Aromatherapy Associates, you can savour the tranquillity of the enclosed Spa Garden, relax in the hydrotherapy pool, take a sauna with panoramic view or grab a light bite or healthy juice at The Spa Café.

Summer at Sandy Lane

The UK summer months are a great time to travel to the Caribbean. Though traditionally seen as ‘low season’, temperatures remain in the mid-twenties and blue skies are the norm, with any rain showers passing as quickly as they arrive. Between 14th April and 31st October 2018 Sandy Lane offers tailored packages that add value to your stay, with inclusions to enhance your holiday experience. Here’s a flavour of each:

In this generous package up to three children can share a second room at 50% off the cost of the parents’ room. They’ll be greeted with a gift each, and children up to 12-years-old receive complimentary dinner each night.

With the Romance package you’ll receive champagne on arrival, a turtle snorkelling trip including shipwrecks, a candlelit dinner for two, couples’ spa treatment, lunch and an afternoon tea for two.

Spa & Wellness

Return feeling like a new you with this package, which includes a full cardiovascular fitness assessment, spa treatments and lunch in The Spa Café.

Fans of the fairways can enjoy daily rounds on The Old Nine and several on The Country Club course (how many depends on the length of your stay), lunch at The Country Club, and more.

A luxury 7-night stay at Sandy Lane costs from £3,335 per person including flights, transfers and accommodation in an Orchid Room.

In addition to these luxury packages, guests travelling in May, June or September 2018 will receive a US$700 Food & Beverage credit per room when they stay for five nights or more.
