Inspiring Travel Company client Katherine Wilks tells all on her recent visit to the Pangkor Laut Resort in Malaysia…
“We recently spent twelve nights at Pangkor Laut Resort, Malaysia. This private island resort, set on a 300 acre island provided us with the tranquillity and peace and quiet we both crave and look for when making our holiday choices.
The accommodation is scattered across the island: the hillside rooms with a jungle backdrop, the sea villas all set on stilts, and the spa villas (also on stilts) form the world class spa village at the far end of the resort.
Emerald Bay is the private beach exclusively for hotel guests and a fleet of 4x4’s transport guests around the island. ‘To the beach’ must be one of the most requested journeys the drivers ever get asked on a daily basis and once you arrive you just know this has to be one of the top five beaches in the Far East, not least in the world! The Andaman Sea is like entering a warm bath and bathing is very safe here.
Chapman's Bar on the beach offers some mouth-watering choices for lunch and with the jungle close by there is plenty of shade to enjoy a relaxed and unhurried meal.
Fisherman's Cove is the place to dine after the sun has gone down, situated adjacent to the Spa Village, this fine dining restaurant serves a varied choice of food to suit the most discerning of diners.”
