You may have seen in the news this week that British Prime Minister David Cameron has been spotted holidaying on the Spanish island of Lanzarote with his wife and children.
The PM will be enjoying the volcanic island during the Easter holidays and parliamentary recess with his wife Samantha and children Nancy, Arthur and Florence.
The island was recently recommended by Alex Polizzi in the Telegraph, who stayed with the Inspiring Travel Company in the family-friendly resort of Princesa Yaiza. A great destination for those with young children, Easter and May Half Term make for particularly good times to visit the island, when the weather is slightly cooler and the resorts offer plenty in the way of child-friendly amenities.
Lanzarote is the fourth largest island of the Canary Islands and has three main holiday resorts; Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise and Puerto Del Carmen. Playa Blanca, where the Cameron’s are staying, is the most traditional of the resorts. A short flight time, barely any time difference and year-round warm weather make it a perfect choice for those travelling with small children.
If you fancy a break to the island like the Cameron’s, try the Princesa Yaiza. Located on the Playa Blanca beachfront the hotel welcomes families with open arms. Royal Kiko Suites have a PlayStation, DVD player, a kids’ mini-bar and two hours complimentary babysitting during a spa treatment or gourmet dinner; so they’ll be time for you to enjoy an evening just the two of you too.
The Princesa Yaiza children´s park, Kikoland, will mean you’re unlikely to see much of your children during a stay here! Facilities include two children swimming pools, a soccer school and Play Houses.
