Luxury travel news from Madinat Jumeirah Dubai

Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian resort of Dubai, first opened some ten years ago and makes for an ideal base to see the city.

Set across its own private beach, the resort features two grand boutique hotels, Al Qasr and Mina A’ Salam, 29 traditional summer houses in Dar Al Masyaf, 7 Malakiya Villas, over 40 restaurants and bars, an award-winning Talise Spa and Talise Fitness, as well as Souk Madinat Jumeirah; a traditional retail and dining experience with over 75 boutique shops.

This year, Madinat Jumeirah celebrates ten years and so the Arabian Resort of Dubai will mark its decade in style by enhancing its guest experience.

Among these improvements are newly refurbished rooms and suites at the boutique hotel Mina A’Salam located on the shores of the Arabian Gulf. The enhancement of the beach facilities includes new sunbeds, five beach bars, and an advanced call system for more rapid dining service delivery.

Alongside these, as of 1st October 2014, the newly renovated Pierchic will continue to deliver a signature dining experience with the addition of a bar on the pier. To make the most of the many exceptional dining experiences at Madinat, we would suggest that guests take advantage of ‘Half Board’ – which offers a dine-around option with a choice of restaurants; with complimentary lunch or dinner across 50 Jumeirah restaurants, including the latest Mexican addition to the dining scene, Tortuga.

There is also great news for families travelling to the resort too, as Jumeirah has announced that Madinat now accepts children up to the age of 16-years-old when sharing a suite with two adults; this was previously up to 12 years, creating more flexibility for families with older children.

As part of the anniversary celebrations there will be six months of events taking place; culminating on 10th October 2014 with a ‘global celebration’ across the group’s properties. One of the many events taking place will be on the 9th September when a full moon yoga session on the Madinat Jumeirah’s beach will be held.

“We are proud that Madinat Jumeirah has mirrored the success story of Dubai to create a multi-award winning resort attracting guests from all over the world. Our tenth anniversary celebrates the history and culture of Arabia while demonstrating exciting new beginnings,” said Margaret Paul, General Manager.

With many new, exciting developments in the pipeline, Jumeirah aim to continually impress their guests; from newly refurbished rooms and restaurants to the implementation of green initiatives and everything in between, in line with the ever-evolving Dubai city as a whole.
