The stunning luxury resort of PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi in the Maldives has always led the way in up-to-the-minute island luxury. Ever-committed to constant innovation, creating ultra-luxe, one-off experiences that wow its guests time and time again, our luxury travel clients simply rave about it on their return. In fact, so do our staff!
Our Travel Specialists, Emma Fountain and Sue Brooks visited recently, and Emma returned calling Huvafen Fushi "the hottest address in the Maldives", while Sue felt she'd "woken-up in paradise" the day she arrived! It's no wonder, really, as the super sleek offerings at this romantic resort include an underwater spa and the Maldives’ largest wine cellar. This is Indian Ocean feet-in-the-sand luxury at its finest.
Well, 2016 is no exception when it comes to striving for the finest experiences of contemporary luxury the Maldives have to offer! January sees the launch of PULSE, an exclusive series of intimate, immersive events featuring some big names and put together by the passionate, creative team at PER AQUUM.
So here's a sneak preview of the PULSE programme at PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi to tempt and delight you...
On 6 January Huvafen Fushi will welcome Justine Picardie, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country, to its idyllic shores for the inaugural PULSE event. Author of the internationally acclaimed biography 'Coco Chanel: The Legend and the Life', Picardie will regale guests with her unique insight into this fashion legend. In the evening the movie 'Coco Before Chanel' will be shown as part of the resort's outdoor cinema programme 'Popcorn Under the Stars'.
In this second event, taking place on 10 January, Chef Nelly Robinson from nel. restaurant - arguably the most popular and acclaimed eatery in Sydney - will join guests in Huvafen Fushi's unique wine cellar cave for an exclusive one-night-only dinner. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it!
February will see the Grammy award winning singer and artist, Joss Stone, give an exclusive concert on the platinum shores as part of her own Total World Tour, in which she plans to play a concert in every country on the planet! In what promises to be one of the most memorable concerts guests will ever attend, Stone plans to work with local musicians and incorporate indigenous music into her set, as well as performing songs from her new album 'Water For Your Soul'.
On 25-26 of April, guests will be able to enjoy the company and sumptuous Japanese-Korean cuisine of Chef Akira Back. A former professional snowboarder, Back is now a renowned chef in the US and the mastermind behind two famous Las Vegas restaurants, Kumi Japanese Restaurant + Bar and Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge.
In mid 2016, Indian artisans of leather, Nappa Dori, will be offering their expertise in a series of bespoke leather-making workshops. Guest will have the chance to gain a unique insight into the long-held traditions and contemporary interpretations of this master craft.
