“As the UK is experiencing quite wet, dreary and miserable weather at the moment,” they said, “We thought we would bring some Saint Lucian sunshine and warmth through our live sun cam which will be officially launched on the 6th February.”
So anyone looking forward to a holiday to the Caribbean island, or wondering what the weather looks like for friends and family out there, can visit the website www.stlucia.org and click on the live sun cam on the homepage to see the wonderful view of Pigeon Island and the sea from Cap Maison. The sun cam will be live from 10.30am – 22.30pm GMT.
The Tourist Board also told us that they are launching a social media competition to coincide with the launch of the sun cam. Guests to the site who spot various messages held up by the staff at Cap Maison in front of the webcam should post the message on Facebook or tweet it on Twitter for a chance to win a prize. The competition will run from 6th February – 13th February.
Saint Lucia in the Caribbean is just 27 miles long and 14 miles wide. Boasting stunning resorts, beaches and lush rainforests she makes for a perfect destination for a honeymoon or romantic proposal. The magical Piton Mountains for which the island is known rise imposingly from the Caribbean Sea, and such is their beauty that they have UNESCO World Heritage Status, and top the list as Saint Lucia’s most arresting attraction.
