Following on from the success of Seabourn Encore, the small-ship luxury cruise company will be launching sister ship Seabourn Ovation in May 2018…and so we thought we’d let you in on all the details!

On May 5th 2018, Ovation will embark on her maiden, 11-day voyage, from the ‘City of Romance’, Venice. Her first cruising season will then take her guests on itineraries around Northern Europe, including Scandinavia and Russia.

On board you can expect the understated elegance of Adam D. Tihany’s famed hospitality design, with high levels of service ensuring every whim is catered to. Just 600 guests will each enjoy a luxurious private suite during their stay, with every one boasting its own private veranda, with enough space for dining outside with a view, as well as a walk-in wardrobe, and a vast bathroom with separate bath and shower. For that extra ‘lux-factor’ there is also a personal bar in each suite, pre-stocked to meet individual preferences.

Thanks to Seabourn’s collaboration with a number of top complementing businesses and individuals, guests can expect programmes unique to their Ovation voyage. These include ‘An Evening with Tim Rice’ - a Seabourn-exclusive production, which made its debut on Seabourn Encore’s inaugural voyage prior to the curtain going up across the rest of the fleet, and culminating on board Seabourn Ovation in 2018! This concert-style presentation, narrated by Tim Rice himself, takes guests on a musical journey through his best-known work.

Love to spa? Wellness experiences overseen by the incredible Dr Andrew Weil will also be on the programme for Ovation guests. And for gastronomes, The Grill by Thomas Keller, exclusive to Seabourn, will focus on new versions of timeless grill favourites, such as lobster thermidor and even ice cream sundaes!

And don’t forget, for every Seabourn guest on every ship, wining and dining never incurs an extra charge - whether it’s coffee on your private terrace or a steak dinner in a restaurant – while tipping is neither required nor expected.
