After a quick two hour flight from Manchester and a 40 minute private transfer we arrived at the beautiful Terre Blanche Resort & Spa, Provence just in time for a bite to eat at The Gaudina on the outdoor terrace. What a smooth transition and ideal for a quick weekend getaway…
Only an hour after settling in at Terre Blanche we felt completely at home, and it was immediately apparent the hotel catered for every type of client. There was an array of activities to offer every guest, with a focus on being able to enjoy as much or as little as you like. For adventure seekers there was dune buggy riding, horse riding, rock climbing, hiking, cycling or even Segway touring. A quick 15 minute drive to a nearby lake and there were plenty of watersports on offer, including boat tours, paddle boarding and more. Additionally, the two tennis courts on site were ideal for a leisurely game in the sunshine.
Terre Blanche is a perfect 5-star hotel which is very much in keeping with the surroundings and in harmony with the natural environment. It’s an ideal spot for resting or exploring the south of France, and within 10 minutes of the property you can find the traditional local town of Fayence where highlights include the local market, wandering around the cobbled streets or enjoying some of the culinary delights. The hotel actively promotes the dining outlets on offer around this area of Provence; whether this is a small village café or a Michelin-star restaurant. Perfect for foodie lovers!
Patengue is a game played in most local towns and on-resort (French boules) a great way to interact with the locals or other guests.
Not to forget the golf! Terre Blanche was voted the best European Golf Resort offering two championship golf courses and a state of the art training centre, dedicated for golfers of all ages and levels, whatever your requirements. I actually got to enjoy a small amount of time on the driving range which I thoroughly enjoyed, their facilities were perfect and staff members were more than pleased to help during my first time lesson!
After all the hard work it was time to relax at the resort’s spa, nestled in the gardens and perfect for privacy, serenity and pleasure. Whether you opt for a short swim, sauna and steam, a hot stone massage or a full day’s package, they can suit everybody’s needs.
If you want to work off all the mouth-watering food on offer then look no further as Terre Blanche promotes great fitness and wellness for all you fitness fanatics too. Daily classes include yoga, Pilates, aquabiking, jogging, fit-balling and more. A personal training session in the gym can also be arranged.
Last but not least, The Kids’ Club on site offers superb seasonal activities: swimming pool in summer, outdoor and indoor games and group activities. The Kids’ Club will welcome your children from 2 to 12-years-old and there are two small swimming pools for the children exclusively also. If younger guests want to, here at the Inspiring Travel Company we can organise a pony ride or ‘meet the donkeys & picnic’ experience.
I am very fortunate to visit lovely destinations with my role and Terre Blanche really ticked all the boxes for my weekend away.
