We’re delighted to announce that our dear friends over at the luxurious Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada have won a prestigious award. Grenada's premier all-inclusive retreat was recently bestowed the coveted Six Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS) at an event whose guest list included the island's Governor General, Prime Minister, government ministers and the resort's staff members.
Chairman and Managing Director of the resort, Sir Royston Hopkin KCMG, also attended the event to pick up the top award.
"We're so honoured to be recognised by the AAHS and to be presented with the prestigious Six Star Diamond Award. The Academy is a trusted voice in the tourism industry and we're proud to lay claim to this award," he said.
"While continually upgrading the property and offering luxurious modern amenities are important aspects in maintaining excellence, it is undoubtedly our dedicated and loyal staff who make Spice Island Beach Resort the success that it is.
"We take pride in providing guests with the utmost in customer service, with our staff anticipating each and every whim while affording the privacy needed to fully relax," he added.
This award-winning resort in Grenada boasts a prime location on what is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Surrounded by tropical gardens, the suites possess all the luxuries one would expect from a resort of this prestige.
The AAHS reviews hotels – and other leisure amenities – with the winners selected following a visit from an anonymous inspection. Last year Sir Royston undertook a multi-million dollar upgrade of the resort which has enhanced its position as one of the Caribbean’s leading luxury destinations.
