Are you ready to set sail on this seven-night cruise through the Pacific Northwest? With Crystal Serenity, you’ll take in the wonders of the west coast of Canada and the USA, well known for their jagged coastlines and magnificent mountain ranges. Whilst cruising through the Pacific, you might be lucky enough to meet some of the famous inhabitants of the ocean, including the humpback whales that have their summer feeding grounds in the area, or dolphins who can sometimes be spotted playing in the ships wake.

The Crystal Serenity has everything you might need to make your stay memorable, including 5-star quality suites with modern and plush interiors. You’ll cross the globe with fabulous gastronomic eateries on board, from classic fine dining to more adventurous culinary exploration. Food highlights include traditional Italian dining at Prego, al fresco Chinese cuisine at Silk Kitchen and Bar, and Scoops Ice Cream Bar for sugary treats.

The cruise package includes a three-night pre-cruise stay in Vancouver at the beginning of your trip and a three-night post-cruise stay in Los Angeles at the end. This should give you plenty of time to experience the best of what Canada and the USA have to offer. You’ll be privately transferred to and from the hotels and the airports to make the journey that much easier. Our Travel Specialists will arrange any excursions or extras that you might want along the way to make your stay even more enjoyable.

Itinerary

Begin your journey in the UK and take your flight to the southwest coast of Canada, where your adventure starts. Nestled on the coast between two sprawling National Parks, Vancouver is a haven for sports lovers, with golf courses, mountain hiking and skiing being popular pastimes in the area.
After waking up for your first full day in Vancouver, hop over for some dim sum at lunchtime or visit one of the many food trucks found across the city. For day two in Vancouver, why not head down to Stanley Park to walk along the seawall or to Vancouver Aquarium, which holds over 65,000 animals? Stanley Park is a vast area, so you'll be sure to find something to suit your mood here.
For your third and final day in the city, we suggest getting to know the neighbourhoods in the area a little better. Gastown is a vision of Victorian architecture and has a trove of restaurants and shops to peruse. If you want something special to eat, head to Granville Island and visit the public market, which is packed to the brim with fresh produce and treats. Why not hop on the hop-off bus or arrange for a private tour bus to see more of the city?
Vancouver is a standard starting port for cruises going north and south along the northwest American coastline. Once ready to set sail, you'll be driven by private transfer down to the port, where the ship will embark on its journey south through the Strait of Georgia. The strait makes up part of the basin between two mountain ranges, and you'll pass by lots of pine tree clad islets on your way down to Victoria.
You'll be forgiven when docking in Victoria for thinking you've made it to the UK. Victoria Island is the second largest island in Canada and is known as one of the most English looking cities in the country. Victoria is a beautiful spot to disembark and visit – choose from a selection of enriching excursions, from a horse-drawn trip around the city to an outing to Craigdarroch Castle.
Our first stop in the USA is Astoria, the oldest city in Oregon, where you can expect a beautiful yet traditional historic city. If you're looking for a fun-packed excursion in Astoria, head to the coastal forest zipline, where you'll be able to take in the scenery of coastal Oregon at speed. For something less heart-pumping, there are the two nearby beach towns of Seaside and Cannon Beach for boutique shopping and promenade walks.
Time for the first of two days at sea. The ship will cruise through the North Pacific Ocean all the way down to San Francisco. Your day at sea will be filled with enjoying the sunshine on the ship’s promenade, visiting the many entertainment venues on board and eating at a choice of 11 restaurants. We thoroughly recommend taking an afternoon tea at Palm Court.
After a relaxing day at sea, you'll arrive in style at one of the most vibrant cities in the USA. San Francisco is the home of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and Market Street. With two days in the city, you'll have more than enough time to see some of the sights from the sky on a 30-minute helicopter tour. Take the time to get your bearings and enjoy some seafood at Fisherman's Wharf.

Day two in San Francisco should be just as exciting as day one; you'll be able to dig a little deeper into the city with excursions out to Alcatraz Island and Sausalito, an artistic hillside retreat. For wine connoisseurs, take a train through the sunny Napa Valley, one of the most famous wine and gourmet food destinations in the western USA. Don't forget to wave goodbye to the Californian sea lions sleeping on the San Franciscan docks.
This is your second day at sea and the last stretch before your port in Los Angeles. Keep an eye out over the ocean for marine life that might pop by, including humpback whales and dolphins. Take this opportunity to make the most of the evening entertainment on the ship, visit the Galaxy Lounge Broadway productions or Pulse nightclub for late-night dancing.
You'll arrive at San Pedro’s port in the morning and disembark into your private transfer to your hotel, ready for three days exploring the Los Angeles area.
Los Angeles is a sprawling city that covers a whole host of neighbourhoods and scenic beauty – this is a day at your leisure. Los Angeles has some fantastic walking areas and National Parks surrounding it, so head to the Santa Monica Mountains or Mount San Antonio to get closer to nature. If you'd like to do something in the city, Santa Monica Pier and the beach are a fun day out.
The second day at your leisure and the final day before you fly back home. Take this opportunity to visit some of the city’s top landmarks, including Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, the Walk of Fame, and the Hollywood Sign. If you're in the mood for amusement parks, Anaheim is home to Disneyland.
Day 14 – 18 August 2022 - Fly to the UK This is the trip's final day and includes your private transfer to the airport and your overnight flight back to the UK.
