Boston is a city that effortlessly combines history and modernity, offering you an interesting look into the American Revolution as well as a host of fantastic contemporary amenities. For a 360-degree view of the city, head for the Skywalk Observatory on the 50th floor of the Prudential Tower. For art, browse the Museum of Fine Arts, which includes works ranging from Van Gogh to Egyptian sculpture.
When Bar Harbor was established in the 19th century it was originally called Eden. You'll understand exactly why from the moment you lay eyes on this seaside paradise. The park cradles the dramatic Musée du Fjord that has enchanted travellers for centuries. Then head to La Baie for a tour of painter Arthur Villeneuve’s home and view the impressive frescoes.
Truly one of the most enchanting cities on your journey, Quebec has a distinctively French atmosphere that has bled into the cuisine and architecture, particularly in the fabulous Old Town. Surrounded by several miles of granite walls dating back hundreds of years, the Old Town is home to the Musée de la Civilisation, a treasure trove of items recreating the city’s early days.
French-speaking and thoroughly romantic, Montreal is the perfect place to end your cruise. The Old Port is a hub of entertainment, while the Museum of Fine Arts is revered for its collection of more than 30,000 beautiful objects. For a breath of fresh air away from the excitement of the city, the Montreal Botanical Garden has been a draw since 1931 and is well worth a leisurely stroll.
