The unspoilt and majestic beauty of Alaska has to be seen to be believed. Luckily, on a Seward to Vancouver luxury cruise with Seven Seas Cruises, you will see it all.

This cruise not only offers luxury transportation but also immerses you in the history and heritage of Alaska on several unforgettable excursions. As you make your way through the other-worldly natural beauty, you will dock in Anchorage, Sitka, Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Vancouver and Calgary. Our Travel Specialists can tailor-make excursions in any of the ports on this spectacular cruise, giving you the opportunity to see mountains, glaciers and waterways inhabited by whales, eagles, bears and seals.

You will travel the seas aboard Seven Seas Mariner, before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer for a post-cruise train journey. Seven Seas Mariner has a chic, luxurious atmosphere and comes complete with a state-of-the-art spa and gym, a purpose-built theatre, seven unique restaurants and much more to enjoy. Then, in your luxury carriage aboard one of the world’s most iconic trains, you will enjoy incredible service and picturesque views as you power through the mountains.

Fly from the UK to Anchorage and enjoy a pre-cruise stay at the Hilton Hotel. From downtown Anchorage you can see two active volcanoes, the highest point on the continent of North America (Mount McKinley), and six major mountain ranges.
Head to the picturesque Seward harbour and prepare to embark. The harbour is a stunning beauty spot from which to enjoy lunch. Savour the views of the dramatically soaring cliffs and Resurrection Bay, named by a band of Russians explorers who found this calm spot during a violent Easter Sunday storm.
Considered the largest tidewater glacier in North America, Hubbard Glacier is a breathtaking sight. The power and beauty of nature will leave you awed as you cruise by in the comfortable confines of Seven Seas Mariner.
Founded by Russian fur traders, Sitka was the historic centre of Russia’s Alaskan empire. Today, picturesque Sitka is known for its fishing industry and stunning views out over the Pacific Ocean. This is the perfect place to try some fresh local cuisine.
Juneau is the best known of the Alaskan gold mining towns. It’s famed as the location of three of the largest gold digs in the world with more than 150 million dollars’ worth of gold being mined. More recently, Juneau’s surrounding natural beauty has attracted travellers from all over the world.
Skagway is an authentic gold rush town that still retains the authentic personality of the era. Walking down Broadway, with its false-front buildings, and visiting the Trail of ‘98 Museum, with its outstanding collection of gold fever memorabilia, is like stepping back in time.
Ketchikan was once named the “Salmon Capital of the World,” so expect some incredible fresh fish. The cultural heritage of Ketchikan is rich, and visitors often flock to see its outstanding collection of totem poles – one of the world’s best examples of Native art.
Alaska’s Inside Passage boasts a staggering number of natural landmarks. Shaped millions of years ago by the raw force of huge moving glaciers, expect to see spectacular fjords and lush islands that are a habitat for whales, sea lions and bald eagles.
Arrive in Vancouver and disembark for a one-night stay. Spend the day exploring Canada’s third largest city, where you can take picturesque tram rides to the top of Grouse Mountain or wander the idyllic Ming Dynasty Gardens and historic Gas Town.
Transfer to the station to board the Rocky Mountaineer. Aboard one of the world’s leading luxury rail services, you can sit in a glass-domed coach and watch the scenery pass by. Some of the highlights you’ll see today include Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon, the Thompson River rock sheds and the shores of Kamloops Lake, where you’ll disembark for your night’s stay.
Continue aboard the Rocky Mountaineer eastwards towards the mighty Canadian Rockies. More incredible scenery awaits as you thunder through the historic tunnels and past Craigellachie, Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels, glaciers and the snow-capped mountain peaks. When you arrive at Lake Louise, you’ll disembark and head to your hotel for the night.
Enjoy a full-day tour along the scenic highway as you travel to Jasper National Park. From the Columbia Icefield, you’ll ride on an Ice Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier to learn about its incredible geological features. After lunch, head onto Bow and Peyto Lakes before returning to you hotel in the afternoon.
Take the morning at leisure to explore Lake Louise on your own terms. After lunch, you’ll take a half-day tour to Yoho National Park where you can explore the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and the Kicking Horse River. You’ll then be transferred to your next hotel in Banff, where you can relax before another adventure begins tomorrow.
Waking in your hotel, enjoy breakfast before heading out to explore Banff National Park at your own leisure. There are a number of things to see and do. If you’d like to relax, give yourself a soak in the mineral pools. Alternatively, head out on a hiking trail, visit the museums or play a round of golf at The Fairmont Banff Springs.
Start the day with a sightseeing tour of Banff, taking in Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. You’ll also take a ride on the Banff Gondola for incredible views over the mountains. You’ll then continue on to Kananaskis for the highlight of the day – a 12-minute panoramic helicopter tour over the Rockies. Check-in to your hotel in Calgary for the final night of your journey.
Transfer to the airport and board your return flight to the UK.
