Jao Camp

Jao Camp

Jao Camp is situated in the Okavango Delta, set on a densely wooded, oval-shaped island.  Raised on wooden decks above lush palms and beneath a dense canopy of ancient indigenous trees, it sleeps a maximum of 16 guests in unique luxury chalets with thatched roofs and canvas walls, en-suite facilities including bath, flush toilet, basins, outdoor shower and a "sala" for midday siestas with a wonderful view.

Jao is a multi-activity camp with mekoros, boating and walks available, according to the time of year and flood levels, and day and night game drives all year round. The lagoons are home to hippo and crocodile and the permanent waters attract large numbers of waterfowl, lion, cheetah and leopard.
