QT Sydney

This edgy design hotel occupies two of the grandest historical buildings in the heart of the city, on the corner of Market and George Street. QT Sydney has retained many of the building’s original architectural features, blending gothic, art deco and Italianate styles.

Inside, the modern interiors are opulent in design, with a wildly eclectic collection of art by distinctive cutting-edge artists, while staff wear quirky avant-garde attire. The 200 sumptuous rooms and suites combine the building’s historic features with modern designs and technologies, and all feature QT’s bespoke luxurious king-size Gel Mattress. Rooms located in the historic 1920’s Gowings building have retained their dark wood floors, while those in the State Theatre Building feature exclusively designed rugs and carpets. The décor is a palette of deep reds, oranges and yellows, complete with some quirky elements.

Spa Q adds a touch of glamour to Sydney’s spa offering, with a Hammam-inspired steam room and six stylish treatment rooms, mirroring the heritage of these historic buildings. Treatment rooms five and six occupy what was formerly Gowing’s Barber Shop, where its historic features are still intact today. The hotel offers an in-house gym as well as providing access to Virgin Active Health Club at Pitt Street Mall.

QT Sydney’s location puts you in the centre of the city’s shopping district, with nearby attractions including the towering Sydney Tower with its observation platform, the attractive gardens of Hyde Park and Royal Botanic Garden, and the restaurants of Cockle Bay Wharf.

You can grab a freshly brewed espresso and casual bite at the bustling street side Parlour Lane Roasters Café; return in the late afternoon after exploring Sydney’s attractions when it transforms to an aperitivo wine bar. Gowings Bar and Grill serve dishes cooked by wood-fired rotisseries and ovens with an emphasis on locally sourced meats and seafood.

For the night owls, join Sydney’s late-night party crowd at the hotel’s Gilt Lounge, where you can enjoy creative cocktails and sounds of the latest lounge music until early in the morning.
