Overview

Known affectionately as 'the Spice island' due to the abundance of spice plantations, a luxury Grenada holiday is to visit one of the most beautiful of all the Caribbean islands. Retaining much of its traditional West indian feel, holiday-goers are guaranteed a warm Grenada welcome from the locals.

Grenada holidays provide a relaxed contrast to cosmopolitan Barbados and its harbour-town capital, St Georges, with pastel-coloured French villas and narrow, winding streets, is often voted the most attractive in the region. Holidays to Grenada are perfect for a slice of leisure in luxury.

Festivals

Spice up your life at the Nutmeg Festival

If you’ve ever wondered why Grenada is known as the Spice Isle, it’s because of the quality of nutmeg grown on the island, which is said to be the best in the world. This year there’ll be a festival in its honour: held from April 21 to May 4, the Grenada Nutmeg Festival will unite the island’s hotels, bars and spas, which will be showcasing everything from nutmeg-infused mojitos to massages.
