A charming oasis of luxury overlooking the two beaches of Grand Cul de Sac and Marigot Bay, Le Guanahani sits on its own 16 acre private peninsula in the heart of a tropical garden of hibiscus and bougainvillea. This modern, minimalist retreat offers an effortless fusion of elegance, serenity and informal relaxation.
The colourful, Creole-style cottages and suites all have private terraces with either a garden view or an ocean view. There is a range of accommodation options available, including Family Suites and the Wellness Suite, with private access to the resort’s spa.
Guests here enjoy a delightfully slow pace of life, with the only interruptions being an indulgent treatment at the Clarins spa, sampling the fine cuisine in one of the two atmospheric restaurants or taking part in any of the numerous activities.
The facilities for children are also exceptional, making this an incredibly family-friendly Caribbean resort. Your little ones will have a blast at the kids’ clubs, suitable for children aged 2 to 12.
Anse de Grand Cul de Sac, 10 minutes transfer from St Jean Airport.
Le Guanahani comprises 68 rooms and suites, 14 suites with own large private swimming pool and 6 butler service suites. There are options to suit every need, such as a Family Suite and a suite with private access to the luxury spa.
Le Guanahani boasts several exceptional restaurants, including the signature Indigo, which overlooks the pool and beach and serves a delicious variety of French and Creole cuisine. Head down to Indigo on the Beach for a more leisurely experience while the sand tickles your toes, or choose to dine at Bartolomeo, set in a gorgeous tropical garden.
Children will love Le Guanahani. For guests aged 2 to 6, there’s a Kindergarten, where they’ll get a taste of the French language and culture. Activities include painting seashells, making jewellery, playing games and drawing. For older children, the Junior’s Club will keep them entertained with a variety of watersports, volleyball, swimming and sandcastle building. Children are also treated to lunch from the Indigo Restaurant’s kids’ menu.
There is a variety of complimentary watersports available at the hotel, including windsurfing, canoeing and snorkelling. Guests can take part in windsurfing lessons, a guided tour by jet ski, and a boat cruise for an additional fee. The Diving School offers beginners’ scuba diving lessons in the swimming pool or lagoon, as well as an array of excursions, including a reef dive, night dive and wreck dive.
One of our favourite things about this resort is the Spa by Clarins. This rejuvenating haven of serenity and sophistication is set amongst luscious foliage, and affords indulgent Clarins treatments and Frederic Fekkai hair care. Heaven.
