Weave your way through the beautiful Portuguese countryside and emerge from the woods to discover Vidago Palace Hotel. This stunning belle-epoque style palace is over 100 years old, having reopened in 2010 after a major refurbishment.
The inside of the palace provides chic, modern luxury, while also maintaining the grandeur of the original building. The Vidago Palace Hotel has a long legacy of distinction and has been named as one of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’. What’s more, the hotel has also been awarded ‘Best Luxury Hotel’ at the TripAdvisor Traveller's Choice Awards and ‘Best Luxury Destination Spa’ at the World Luxury Spa Awards.
A utopia for relaxation, the spa offers medical and beauty treatments, as well as unique thermal fountains. Your wellness journey will be tailor-made for you, and you can choose between half-day or full day treatment packages. To ensure your spa day is as effective as possible, personalised packages and a range of made-to-measure treatments are available to enjoy.
If you’re looking to get a bit more active, a vast park surrounds the palace with 100-year-old trees, paths and trails, and a host of enchanting water features. The location of the palace, just 30 minutes from the Douro Valley, provides unrivalled opportunities for vineyard and nature tours, allowing you to get to know this majestic landscape on even closer terms.
Then, there is the historic Vidago Palace Hotel Golf Course. Redesigned by famed course architects, Cameron & Powell from an original by Mackenzie Ross built in 1936, the hotel was named ‘Portugal's Best Golf Hotel’. Also providing six restaurants, an indoor and outdoor pool, and a fantastic kids club, Vidago Palace Hotel is a dream come true for families and couples alike.

This gourmet restaurant has a causal, chic vibe and a majestic setting that was once used for lavish parties. The chefs use local produce to create a flavourful cuisine that represents the very best of traditional dishes from northern Portugal.
This elegant wine and tapas bar is open Tuesday – Sunday. The cellar was redesigned as a bistro and wine shop and manages to deliver the perfect balance between Portuguese snacks and Spanish Tapas.
With traditional Portuguese food and international favourites prepared by masters of their craft, the Club House is the ideal space for a delicious meal or a laidback drink. Housed in an old stone building that dates from 1886, the ambiance is entirely unique.
Found on the ground floor beneath a wrought iron and glass ceiling, you’d be mistaken for thinking you were inside a winter garden conservatory. Open for breakfast daily, it’s the perfect place to begin your morning.
Located in the lobby at the tip of the palace´s north wing, the 4 Seasons room receives natural light in abundance during all the seasons thanks to its triple sun exposure. Open for five o'clock tea every day.
Soak up the sun and enjoy a cool cocktail and a delicious dish. From pasta to salads and the chef’s epic selection of hot and cold sandwiches, the Pool Bar aims to provide a relaxing and truly special experience.
