A truly unique place to stay set within the 400-acre Farncombe Estate, in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside.
More a collection of quirky spaces than it is a hotel, The Fish comprises three farmhouses housing rooms and suites, as well as a collection of unique standalone buildings scattered throughout the grounds which have each been individually designed to connect guests with nature.
Think rustic interiors with exposed wooden frames and Scandinavian-chic decor, rooms heated by wood-fired stoves, outdoor heated bathtubs. Wherever you stay, The Fish impels you to feel cosy and at one with nature.
One of the most standout accommodations is the Treehouse; a timber-framed building nestled amongst the trees in the woodland, which is the perfect place for a magical escape with the family.
Meanwhile, couples can find a romantic escape in ‘Boaty McBoatface’ – a luxury custom-built Shepherd’s hut hidden beside a woodland lake, that enjoys an outdoor and indoor bathtub, as well as access to a private island accessible only by rowboat.
At the core of the hotel is the Lodge, central communal space that, with its cosy corners, squashy sofas and fireplaces aplenty, is the definition of comfort. Come here to find a quiet nook to relax, to fine on fine seafood at Hook, the in-house restaurant, or grab an evening drink at the bar.
Whether you are looking for a short break in England or a longer escape, The Fish is the perfect home away from home and, situated in the Cotswolds countryside, is in prime position to enjoy everything that this region has to offer.
Filled with historic towns and picturesque rolling hills aplenty – there is something for everyone, be it families, couples or friends travelling together.
