On the edge of the New Brunswick panhandle lies the city of Edmundston; home to the Fraser Marina, Edmundston Jazz and Blues Festival, the Foire Brayonne and a host of fascinating historical sites.

At the junction of the Saint John and Madawaska Rivers lies the city of Edmundston; a place of huge historical interest and a fascinating stop on your holiday in Atlantic Canada’s New Brunswick province.

Walking and cycling are great ways to explore the city and its surrounding trails and mountains, stopping off for tasty ployes (pancakes) en route. Highlights for green-fingered visitors include the New Brunswick Botanical Garden, and certainly one of the most beautiful private gardens in the province, the Jardin de Gus, with its six differently themed areas.

Edmundston is also a great place to enjoy a Canadian festival, where every June it plays host to the Festival Jazz et Blues d’Edmundston, and in August the famous Foire Brayonne; one of the biggest French festivals in Canada with celebrations around French culture and sport.

Don’t miss a brewery tour while you’re in the city, or a visit to the Sucrerie Bossé to see how maple products are made. Travelling to Edmundston in winter? Then ask our Travel Specialists about adding a snowmobiling adventure in the mountains to your itinerary!
