A small community in picturesque Nova Scotia, Western Shore is a great base from which to explore the province’s west coast. Beautiful beaches line the coast and nature-lovers will find plenty to enjoy and explore. Grab a bite by the marina or head out on the water yourself on boat trip.
Close by you’ll find the beautiful islands of Mahone Bay, most notably Oak Island, whose legendary ‘money pit’ is said to be the site of buried treasure, despite the search for booty having never unearthed anything in over 200 years! To access the island you must be part of a guided tour – ask your Travel Specialist about arranging this.
Also close by is Lunenburg, an incredibly well-preserved 18th century town and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
