This vibrant Ontario town is a great base for exploring the region’s majestic nature, whether by water, road or foot.

The picturesque town of Kingston, lies on the edge of Lake Ontario, not far from Canada’s south western border with the USA.

The historic site of Fort Henry is a ‘must’ for history buffs and offers a great viewing point over the town too. Music fans might like to visit The Tragically Hip Way, a street named after a famous Canadian band who hail from the town. Here you’ll find Kingston’s 6,700 seat arena where you could catch a show whilst staying here.

Kingston is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty and it’s easy to get out amongst it. We recommend Rock Dunder Summit Trail for some beautiful lakeside walks. In summer you can also get a ferry out to the 1000 Islands, an archipelago of islets that occupies the border between northern New York State and southern Ontario. Quaint towns, castles and lighthouses are there to be enjoyed, as is the verdant nature.
