Death Valley National Park

View All Holidays

Situated nearby to the border of Nevada, California’s Death Valley National Park is unlike many of the other national parks you may have seen before. A hot and dry climate has resulted in a dramatic and barren landscape, home to the lowest point in North America, Badwater Basin- well worth a visit!

Best explored in November through to April, without the heat of the summer, at this time guided ranger walks and talks are a part of the programme. It is also possible to visit in the summer although hikes at this time of year are not recommended.

With very few trails, Death Valley National Park is an exciting place to hike. Perhaps enjoy a guided moonlight walk during the full moon, palaeontology tours and a visit to Scotty’s Castle House, a mansion built in the 1920s.
