Please note the itinerary below is subject to change and used as a guide only.

Overnight in the Best Western Driftwood Inn, Idaho Falls or similar.

You will be picked up in Idaho Falls between 3pm - 3.30pm and arrive at the ranch Monday evening for a welcome dinner and introduction to the Silver Spur Ranch family, crew and other guests. You will be accommodated for the night in a cabin or bunk room at the ranch.

Meet your mount, riding instructions, spend the day riding through mountain terrain (making sure every rider is confident at a walk, trot, and lope). They want you to trust your horse completely before leaving the horse drive. Spend the night at the ranch.

Pack your bedrolls in the chuck wagon, round up and saddle the horses, load them in the horse trailer and head for Deep Creek. You will round-up and drive horses 20+ miles, through desert canyon country. At the end of the day you will end up at Warm Springs. There is not a more welcome site than riding over the ridge with a herd of horses, and spotting the chuck wagon and camp. There is a natural warm spring here and its the perfect spot to take a nice relaxing bath. You end the day with a hot delicious meal, ready to retire for the evening to a nice tent or sleep under the stars.

Awake to the sounds of the horses nearby, coffee brewing over the fire and the smell of bacon sizzling! You have travelled over 40 miles and are now in some beautiful back country. You will leave the colts, and the camp behind and do a little exploring. There is a beautiful mountain lake just 6 miles from camp, and with abundant wildlife around you might just get a close look at a moose, elk or even a bear. Dinner cooked over the open fire will put an end to another perfect day.

By now you have rode over 60 miles and are ready for a day off yourself. But if after breakfast you want to take one last ride before you pack your things you are welcome to do it. At the Silver Spur they will do all they can to make your vacation one to remember, so if there is something that you want to do, that you think they may have missed, be sure to let them know and if its possible they will do it. Spend the night at the ranch and enjoy a farewell dinner.

Pack your bags and get ready for your departure transfer to the airport.

Ranch Stays allow you to experience a hands on cowboy experience seeing the abundant wildlife including elk, coyotes, bald eagles and ground hogs. In the summers, stay in accommodation (no electricity) at the head of Warm Creek with the cattle. Mornings commence with a hearty cowboy style breakfast of pancakes, bacon, eggs and hash browns. All activities centre around cowboy life and so there is no structured format to each day. Cowboy chores, such as moving cattle, looking for strays and riding the range with the cowboys are to be expected. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the natural beauty at Silver Spur Ranch, Idaho.

Horse Drives at Silver Spur operate weekly, starting on a Monday for 5 nights. Horse Drives for 2022 are fully booked. Horse Drives for 2023 start on 15 May 2023 with the last one starting on 14 August 2023.
