Peak Ranch Season: Mid May to Mid October
The least populated state in the USA is home to more wildlife than people. It is a place where there are still Cowboys and Indians living in the wild and open countryside. Ranching, cattle drives and rodeos are just some of the many outdoor activities that can be enjoyed throughout this beautiful state.
Wyoming is home to Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first national park where thousands of thermal features can be witnessed. The park is not only renowned for its geological activity and Old Faithful geyser but also the varied nature and wildlife. Just to the south is the stunning Grand Teton National Park.
Other scenic highlights include Bighorn Canyon, Fossil Butte and the awesome Devil’s Tower.
In Cody, the Buffalo Bill Historical Centre is a superb trio of museums and there is a nightly rodeo in the summer months. Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, also has rodeos in July during the Frontier Day festivities and there are other Wild West attractions year-round.
