Goosewing Ranch offers an opportunity to experience a corner of North Americas wildest country as it has been for over a hundred years. At an elevation of 7,400 feet, this secluded retreat sits deep in the heart of the Gros Ventre River Valley, 40-miles northeast of Jackson, and is host to elk, moose, bear and eagles and spectacular scenery.
You may recognise it as the film, The Little House on The Prairie was produced here!
Catering to all riding abilities, this guest ranch offers spectacular riding scenery due to its remote location.
Goosewing is a small and intimate Wyoming ranch, accommodating 35 guests a week, in eleven authentic log cabins including three two-bedroom cabins ideal for families. Breakfast is served in the main lodge and lunches are normally trail side picnics. For dinner, you can enjoy themed dinners and once a week there is a cookout with live entertainment. In the evening, guests gather in the loft bar to lounge around or play pool. There is a liquor license at the ranch which serves an excellent selection of beers, spirits and wine. Evening entertainment includes line dancing, cowboy cookouts, lawn games and Indian crafts.
The ranch features an outdoor heated pool, hot tub and sauna to help you soothe those aching muscles after a day out riding. Besides horseback riding the ranch offers a comprehensive activity schedule including fly-fishing, clay pigeon shooting, canoeing, river tubing, hiking, mountain biking and UTV’s for your own use. Optional activities at an additional cost include seasonal white-water rafting on the Snake River and an authentic seasonal Rodeo in Cody on Wednesday and Saturday. Guided tours to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks can be arranged from the ranch.
