The Hideout Lodge and Guest Ranch
The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch is a hideaway nestled at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains in the Shell Valley of north central Wyoming. Usually the ranch accommodates between 15 to 25 guests a week, with a maximum of 32 guests, allowing a more personal experience. In high season, there is a horse guest ratio of 80 horses to 25 guests! Thanks to the size of the ranch, single travellers are well accommodated at the ranch, as well as couples and families with older children.
The Hideout offers a cozy central lodge, with two large dining tables, a wood stove, armchairs and a large deck with fine views. You will be assigned sleeping quarters in comfortable guest cabins, with tidy sleeping bags complete with fresh sheets and pillow cases. All cabins have breathtaking views from their porches. In the main lodge there are books, games, a pool table and television. Once a week, evening entertainment consists of cowboy singers. Popular gourmet dinners are offered at this ranch in the dining room where there is a great view. The chef is trained as a Le Cordon Bleu Chef and she makes sure that great care is taken over each dinner. Lunch is served in the dining room or sandwiches are prepared for those who will be on rides all day long. Once a week an outdoor cook out also takes place.
