Nestled on a forested hillside overlooking the Caribbean, Ecohabs is set deep within the Tayrona National Park on the wild, untamed Cañaveral Beach.
Almost camouflaged into the hillside are the 14 eco-friendly bungalows. Each built of native wood with high roofs covered in palm, the design is inspired by the ancient tribes of the area. These are split level bungalows - the upper levels are the sleeping quarters, while the lower level contains an outdoor bathroom, terrace and hammocks. Bungalows are rustic and simply furnished yet very comfortable, equipped with modern amenities such as flat-screen televisions and iPod docks.
Walkways and steps connect the restaurant and reception areas. Its two restaurants serve up a delicious range of typical coastal dishes and international cuisine as well as delicious fresh juices. For ultimate relaxation, there is a spa offering a variety of treatments and two Jacuzzis - one down on the beach and the other perched up on the hill.
Due to strong currents, the beach in front of the property is not suitable for swimming in, however a short walk away there is a safe swimming beach.
Being within the National Park there is a multitude of walks and hikes and a variety of flora and fauna to be discovered here. The hotel’s gift shop sells locally made products that support the livelihood of neighbouring communities.
