Tick the tigers off your bucket list with a visit to two of the best tiger reserves in India, Bandhavgarh in Central India and Ranthambore in Northern India. There's a good chance you'll view tigers here due to the lack of undergrowth and scattered vegetation.

When to go? The best time to visit is from November until mid-June during which time the Tigers are active in the daytime. However, there is a smaller chance that you will spot a tiger at this time because there are many active water sources, whilst in the summer because there are fewer, the Tigers tend to congregate around these specific waterholes. In the winter, we recommend a stay of five nights in the parks.

Since 1972 and the launch of Project Tiger, Ranthambore National Park has been known as a tiger reserve in India, although it was not declared a national park until 1980. In the park see scattered ruins of the fort including the lake palaces and a majestic fort.

Board your flight today to Delhi to begin your holiday.
On arrival in Delhi you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Delhi is a bustling city filled with beautiful monuments, parks and history. Afternoon enjoy guided half day tour of Old Delhi.
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, begin your sightseeing tour of New Delhi. This region of the city reflects the legacy of the British and here see Imperial Delhi including a visit to the Qutab Minar, the tallest stone tower in India, standing at 72.5 metres. It is also one of the best Islamic structures in India. Proceed to visit Humayun's Tomb, built by Humayun's widow, it exists as a precursor of the Taj Mahal and was designed in a beautiful Indo-Persian style.
This morning wake up early for tea, coffee and snacks in the lobby and your departure into the park. Travel in either a 4 wheel drive jeep (4x4, with open roof, suitable for 6 passengers) and 16 or 20 seaters canters (open top roof buses). Ranthambore's unique landscape includes dry forests with stunted ground cover meaning wildlife viewing is easier than on other safaris. Tigers are generally solitary and are a matter of chance.
Enjoy a day in Ranthambore on safari excursions. The terrain of open forest creates fantastic visibility conditions, offering a wealth of opportunities to spot the jungle’s most charismatic inhabitant alongside the numerous other wild animals. You will be driven along the park’s numerous routes on the look out for the predators of tiger, sloth bear and striped hyena and their prey of Indian gazelle, spotted deer and wild pig.
Enjoy a morning tea and coffee before a morning and afternoon safari followed by either an early dinner at the hotel or a pack dinner for the train journey. Take the 20:10 departure to Katni, a train kit with bathroom slippers, inflatable slippers, mosquito repellent and eye shade will be provided.
Freshen up in the washroom on the train before you arrive into Katni at 07:35 for your drive to Bandhavgarh, approximately two and a half hours. A packed breakfast will be provided on arrival. Upon arrival in Bandhavgarh, check in to your lodge before your first safari here. (Please note there is no afternoon safari on Wednesdays in Bandhavgarh).
In the mornings enjoy an early tea and coffee in the lounge before morning safari and breakfast within the park. Afterwards, return to the hotel for lunch and a bit of time to relax before the afternoon safari. There is also the option to enjoy a full day jeep safari in the park in a small group of three, during this experience there are no route restrictions and you can enjoy your whole time in the park tracing the tiger's movements.
Today enjoy jeep safaris in the park. The forests in Bandhavgarh are dense sal jungle combined with grasslands and you can have an amazing wilderness experience.
Enjoy your final jeep safari before your transfer (four and a half hours) to Jabalpur Airport and flight to Delhi.
After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred for your flight home to the UK.
