Itinerary

Day 1  UK to Perth
Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Perth, Western Australia. You can choose to fly direct or with one of the many airlines that offers a stopover in exotic destinations such as Dubai, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
Day 22  Arrive Perth
On arrival make your way to your city-centre hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day exploring this modern city. Take a wander along Elizabeth Quay, Perth’s regenerated waterfront on the banks of the Swan River. Visit King Park, one of the largest inner-city parks in the world or cross the river to Crown Perth, a hub for shopping, restaurants, hotels, live theatre and concerts and Crown Casino.
Day 3  Swan Valley Food & Wine Tour
Spend a relaxed morning exploring the artisan food producers and wine makers that can be found along the Swan Valley region. Enjoy tastings of delicious locally made chocolate, nougat at the Mondo Nougat Factory, nuts, honey and more. You will visit a top-class Swan Valley vineyard to enjoy premium wine tasting, and the Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery to learn more about the indigenous culture and taste traditional bush food.
Staying at  Pan Pacific Perth
Day 4  Fremantle Convicts and Colonials Walking Tour
Make your way to Fremantle to join Two Feet & a Heartbeat for a walking tour through Fremantle’s convict and colonial past. The tour winds its way through Fremantle, passing many sights that reflect its well-preserved architectural heritage – including the World Heritage-listed Fremantle Prison and convict-built colonial era buildings. Visit landmarks including Fishing Boat Harbour and the Moore & Moore Gallery to view contemporary art.
Staying at  Pan Pacific Perth
Day 5  Cairns
Fly across Australia to Cairns in Tropical North Queensland. Enjoy a day at leisure exploring this laid-back city with its bustling markets, Cairns Botanic Gardens and waterfront lagoon. The Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is only a 15-minute drive north of Cairns; the cableway climbs up through the treetops of the World Heritage-listed Tropical Rainforest and offers spectacular views of Barron Gorge National Park and Barron Falls.
Day 6  Great Barrier Reef Cruise
Sail out to the Great Barrier Reef or lower isles for a spectacular day on one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. This 2,300km long living reef can be seen from space; it is made up of over 600 types of soft and hard coral and contains an abundance of marine life. You can explore the reef on a guided snorkelling tour, in glass-bottomed boats or in a semi-submersible, and marvel at this natural wonder close-up.
Day 7  Daintree Dreaming Tour
Travel on a small group tour to the traditional fishing grounds of the Kuku Yalanji people at Cooya Beach. Visit the beautiful Mossman Gorge where Aboriginal people will welcome you with a traditional ‘smoking’ ceremony. Explore the lush Daintree Rainforest, a World Heritage-listed Site and one of the world’s oldest rainforests. Take in beautiful views of waterfalls and mountains and take a refreshing dip in rainforest-encased swimming hole.
Day 8  Ayers Rock Resort
Fly from Tropical North Queensland to Australia’s Red Centre, landing at Ayers Rock Airport. Spend the afternoon exploring Ayers Rock Resort where there are shops, art galleries and a museum. In the evening we recommend the unique Sounds of Silence Dinner, dining under the stars, or the Field of Lights – an art installation of 50,000 glass spheres that cover the size of seven football fields in the desert and light up as darkness falls. Hotel – Emu Walk Apartments.
Day 9  Uluru, Kata Juta Sunrise, Sacred Sites and Sunset Tours
Rise early this morning and travel to a vantage point to watch the changing colours of the desert, dunes and Uluru as the sun rises. Enjoy panoramic views of the 36 domes of Kata Tjuta on your drive to Walpa Gorge. Return to Ayers Rock Resort before your afternoon tour to Uluru, during which you will be visiting sacred sites and viewing aboriginal rock art, as well as learning about the intriguing cultural traditions of the Anangu people. Hotel – Emu Walk Apartments
Day 10  Sydney Opera House Tour
Fly to Sydney, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city set on one of the world’s most impressive and beautiful natural harbours. Make your way to the iconic Sydney Opera House where you will join a small group for a tour of inside the Opera House, learning the saga and emotional story behind the design and construction of this modern masterpiece.

Day 14  Museums & Galleries of Canberra
There are a vast variety of museums and galleries housing Canberra’s artistic and cultural collections. At the National Gallery of Australia you can admire the largest collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artworks in the world. Another great day out is the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, where you’ll find an extensive collection of Aboriginal art at the Aboriginal Dreamings Gallery. We recommend climbing to the balcony of the Shrine of Remembrance for breathtaking vistas of the city skyline. Take a tram to South Yarra with its plethora of boutiques, cafes and bars, or to the bohemian seaside village of St Kilda for cream cakes in Acland Street.
Day 16  Melbourne's Arcades and Laneways
Make your way to Federation Square for a small group walking tour through Melbourne’s arcades and regenerated laneways, bursting with coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The laneways are now brought to life with colourful street art and quirky cafés. Stop for lunch in a trendy eatery, and enjoy a glass of local wine.

Wander through its historic streets lined with old sandstone warehouses and galleries and visit nearby Battery Point with its colonial-era cottages. Join a 40-minute guided walk through the restored buildings and scenic ruins, after which you are free to explore the exhibits and ruins further at your leisure. Hotel - Henry Jones Art Hotel
Day 20  Adelaide
One of the first stops for most visitors to Adelaide is the Adelaide Central Market, the epicentre of South Australia’s foodie culture. For views of Adelaide Hills and the city you may wish to attempt the Commonwealth Bank Roof Climb at Adelaide’s Oval Stadium. Head to Adelaide’s cultural boulevard, North Terrace, to visit the Art Gallery of South Australia or head 15 miles out of the city for wine tasting at Penfolds vineyards.
Day 21  Kangaroo Island
A firm favourite and must do for any visitor to South Australia is to spend time on Kangaroo Island. You will visit Seal Bay for a guided beach walk amongst a colony of Australian sea lions. Enjoy lunch in a beautiful bush setting at Vivonne Bay; spot koalas, kangaroos and wallabies in their natural habitat; and marvel at the rugged coastline and Remarkable Rocks at Flinders Chase National Park.
Day 22  Adelaide to UK
A final day in Adelaide. If time permits, take a tour out to the Barossa Valley, one of Australia’s premier wine-growing regions, or take the tram down to Glenelg Beach where you can watch dolphins frolicking in the sea or enjoy a sumptuous seafood lunch on the promenade or Marina Pier before heading back to the airport for your flight to the UK.
