Learn Aboriginal traditions and experience the magic of Australia’s spectacular natural world, the Blue Mountains, Uluru, Great Barrier Reef, Kings Canyon and so much more, on this extraordinary tour.


Australia is packed full of extraordinary landscapes, wildlife, cultural heritage and experiences, with this small group tour taking in more of them than most to give a real snapshot of the country’s finest natural wonders, and Aboriginal traditions too. It begins in Cairns, where time can be spent in Daintree National Park with Aboriginal elders, followed by the Great Barrier Reef aboard a catamaran and inland voyage to Alice Springs. While there, you’ll meet members of the Air and Royal Flying Doctor Service, before a trip to the dramatic Kings Canyon. Next up is Uluru and its surrounds for one of Australia’s most iconic landscapes, where cocktails and dinner under the stars are the order of the day. With wine tours in the Hunter Valley, a walk through the Blue Mountains, exclusive meals and a Sydney Harbour cruise still to come, this really is a Magical Australian adventure that has the lot.

Itinerary

Day 1  Touchdown in Cairns
Upon arrival in Cairns you’ll be met at the airport, introduced to your fellow travellers and transferred to your Palm Cove hotel for check-in, then spend the rest of the day at leisure ahead of an evening of canapes, and dinner beside the Coral Sea.
Day 2  Meeting an Indigenous Communities of Daintree
There’s no better way to begin your tour of Australia’s incredible landscapes, than in the company of an Aboriginal leader as you uncover the wonders of Daintree Rainforest, during your first full day. It begins with a interesting talk given by a member of the Kuku Yalanji Community, providing insight into Aboriginal culture, tradition, and their relationship with the land – including medicines derived from the forest itself. You’ll then head off on a walk around Daintree, picking up more age-old tips on everything from crab hunting to foraging for fruit, before a memorable forest lunch under the trees. The rest of the day can then be spent at leisure, enjoying time amidst these spectacularly natural surrounds.

Day 3  The Great Barrier Reef
Today you’ll discover one of Australia’s most iconic natural wonders, a true marvel of Mother Nature, as you embark on a catamaran tour around the Great Barrier Reef. This particular tour goes deeper than most, venturing out across the Coral Sea to Agincourt Reef where you’ll have an unforgettable chance to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef itself. The journey itself is scenic enough, though snorkelling above these colourful colours, kaleidoscopic tropical fish and sea life is something truly special. There will be plenty of time to enjoy it all at a suitably serene pace, before an onboard lunch and eventually, return to Palm Cove

Day 4  Travel to Uluru & Kata Tjuta
A real change of scenery comes on day 4 of this Inspiring Australia Tour, as you travel inland from coastal cairns to the Northern Territory & Australia's Red Centre. On your arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you are transferred to your hotel before spending an afternoon for a walk through the Domes of Kata Tjuta and Walpa Gorge.Later enjoy nibbles and sparkling wine while you watch Uluru change colour as the sun sets below the horizon.
Day 5  Field of Light & Sounds of Silence Dinner
Rise early to experience the renowned Field of Light, where 50,000 glass spheres in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white, have been installed within sight of Uluru. Wander through the paths and then, from the dune-top, watch as the dawn creeps across the desert plain and lights up the Red Centre. Next, transport yourself to another world with a walk around the base of Uluru, witnessing ancient Anangu rock art, and visiting the fabled Mutitjulu Waterhole too. This evening, a unique candlelit dinner beside Uluru, under a blanket of stars, is the perfect way to end such an all-encompassing day.
Day 6  Travel to Kings Canyon
This morning you enjoy the magical experience of the sunrise over Uluru before breakfast back at the hotel and then you will embark on a journey through Australia's vast Red Centre towards Kings Canyon. The journey itself will take anything from 5-7 hours, stopping at Curtin Springs, home to the Severin family since 1956 where you will enjoy a barbecue lunch and meet one of the locals, learning from them about the areas cattle rearing heritage. Finally, the road leads to Kings Canyon where you can check-in and enjoy a delicious dinner at Carmichael's Restaurant. Overnight in Kings Canyon Resort
Day 7  Kings Canyon Walk and Travel to Alice Springs
An early start after breakfast will first see you striding the 6km rim walk of Kings Canyon, passing dramatic drops and crevasses, viewpoints and plains, plus the so-called Domes of the Lost City too. Each step brings one striking sight after another including the luscious 'Garden of Eden'. This evening, enjoy a Local Dining Experience outback bush barbecue under the stars.
Day 8  Travel to Sydney
This morning comes the unique chance to meet members of the life-saving School of the Air and Royal Flying Doctor Service. These invaluable public servants are charged with covering huge distances in case of any medical emergency, ferrying patients from totally isolated homesteads and farms to hospitals and clinics around the region, providing assistance and care along the way. It’s a humbling though fascinating tour, before a flight to Sydney. Upon landing, you’ll be taken to the hotel for check-in and, depending on the time of your original flight, exploring Sydney’s main highlights, restaurants and shopping streets is highly recommended.
Day 9  Visit the Blue Mountains
A real change of pace comes today, as you swap the bustle of Sydney, it’s modern skyscrapers and cool cafes for the quite magnificent Blue Mountains National Park, one of Australia’s greatest natural treasures that’s roughly 1-2 hours’ away by car. The Blue Mountains National Park really is a fairytale scene; think of tree-covered plateaus, sweeping canyons, waterfalls and a heady scent in the air as you walk through native forest reserves, just to get you going. This full-day Blue Mountains tour can of course be taken at a pace that suits both you, and your group. There will be chance to witness the iconic sites of Echo Point and Bridal Veil Falls, as well as getting away from the crowds with your expert guide to find some of the most remarkable lookouts, landscapes and scenic walks encountered on this entire Australian adventure. Day 10  Wine Tasting in the Hunter Valley
Wine tasting in Australia is always a treat, and today’s Hunter Valley tour is more exclusive than most, as you visit a clutch of the region’s most prestigious award-winning labels. You’ll be taken on a whistle-stop trip around the vale, discovering some of the Hunter Valley’s best vineyards and tasting their delectable produce as you go. There will be paired nibbles, boutique cellar visits and time spent walking among the scenic vines too, before a delicious lunch with wine, of course, and a fully relaxed afternoon at leisure. Day 11  Sydney Harbour Cruise
Day 11 of your Inspiring Australia Tour will see you boarding a yacht in the afternoon, ready for an intimate cruise around Sydney Harbour. Whether you’re an experienced sailor and want to join in, or prefer to enjoy the highlights of Sydney, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from the comfort of the boat’s comfortable deck area, the choice is yours. Taking a Sydney Harbour cruise aboard a luxury yacht is the ideal way to experience such an iconic city, admiring the waterfront mansions, outdoor bars and bustle of town in true style. The rest of the day can be spent wandering Sydney Downtown and soaking up the atmosphere of this cosmopolitan hub.

Day 12  Sydney Sightseeing Tour
The final day of your Australian adventure involves a guided walking tour around Sydney, a great way to round off the trip. You’ll be taken to Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Harbour Bridge, Botanic Gardens and other popular areas as well as a VIP behind the scenes tour of the Sydney Opera House, before a farewell meal at the acclaimed Bennelong Restaurant.
