Stroll amongst jacarandas and beautiful gardens, drive through lush rolling valleys or feast on succulent fresh seafood in Hastings Street in the upmarket seaside resort of Noosa while at Spicers Clovelly Estate on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.


Day 1  UK to Sydney

Board your flight to Sydney, we recommend you break the journey with a stopover for a night or two in one of several exotic locations in the Middle East and Far East or North America.

Day 2  Arrive Sydney

On your arrival at Sydney Airport you will be transferred by private car to your hotel. Potts Point is a vibrant neighbourhood with pavements cafes, fashionable shops, multicultural eateries and a hub for evening entertainment. The streets are lined with trees and 1880’s Victorian terraced houses. Spicers Potts Point is a 20-minute walk to Royal Botanic Gardens through the harbourside suburb of Wooloomooloo.

Day 3  Sydney

Spend a full day discovering Sydney and its magnificent harbour independently. A fantastic way to explore the harbour is with Captain Cook’s Cruises hop on hop off ferry pass, stopping at eight of the city’s best locations including Darling Harbour, a hub of dining, shopping and entertainment. You can also visit the north shore beach suburb of Manly, and take in the gorgeous views of the harbour and skyline from Watsons Bay.

Day 4  Sydney

Sydney’s city centre is renowned for its shopping and its attractions including Sydney Tower, affording the best views of the city from the viewing platform of Sydney Tower Eye. Other iconic buildings include the beautiful Queen Victoria Building, and of course Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. If you are looking to relax, head to the beaches of Bondi or Coogee, or take the beautiful coastal walk between the two.

Day 5  Sydney to Blue Mountains (50 miles)

Collect your rental vehicle and dive through Sydney’s western suburbs to the foothills of the Blue Mountains. Your eco-retreat is nestled in a natural setting with endless views of the mountains and valleys with its blue haze created by droplets of eucalypt oil dispersed in to the atmosphere which refract rays of blue light. You may wish to discover more of the Blue Mountains or just enjoy the tranquil surroundings, pool and spa.

Day 6  Blue Mountains

Connect with nature and explore the Blue Mountains further, taking one of the many bush walks through this stunning World Heritage listed region. Feel the spray as you pass by Wentworth Falls and look up at the towering Three Sisters limestone formations. Take in the views over the Jamison Valley from Echo Point and enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the fine restaurants or brasseries in the pretty town of Leura.

Day 7  Blue Mountains to Hunter Valley (120 miles)

Wind your way north through the Blue Mountains and Wollemi National Park, a protected wilderness with scenic canyons, serene forests and wild rivers. Your luxurious estate accommodation is in the heart of the Hunter Wine Country. Set amongst bushland and rolling vineyards, the estate has an ambiance of quality and serenity.

Day 8  Hunter Valley

For true wine connoisseurs, take a tour of the finest boutique wineries with a highly experienced guide, or order a picnic hamper from the hotel and explore the region at your own pace, stopping for a leisurely lunch in a secluded spot. Other activities in the area include horse-riding, championship golf courses or visits to the Hunter Valley Gardens and local art galleries.

Day 9  Hunter Valley and Port Stephens (95 miles roundtrip)

Enjoy the serene setting of your private wine estate or explore the region further. Visit Port Stephens where you will find 26 pristine beaches and bays, take a boat tour of the bay in search of whales, dolphins and other marine life. Follow the boardwalk through Tilligerry Habitat through mangroves and flora including several species of orchid. Koalas are often spotted up in the eucalypt trees.

Day 10  Brisbane

Return your hire vehicle to Sydney Airport in time for your domestic flight to Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane. The Brisbane River flows through the city and links many of the city’s main attractions including the impressive Royal Botanic Gardens, Story Bridge and South Bank, an area of lush parklands and lagoon pool with man-made beach.

Day 11  Brisbane

Spend a full day in Brisbane visiting its parklands, museums and galleries such as the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art. If you are determined to see a Koala on your holiday to Australia, take a cruise along Brisbane River past riverside mansions to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, home to over 100 koalas that are looked after here after they have been injured or orphaned.


Day 12  Brisbane to Sunshine Coast (60 miles)

Queensland’s Sunshine Coast encompasses holiday beach resorts and rural hinterland, a playground for those enjoying water sports, fine dining, hiking and self-drive adventures through magnificent mountains and lush green valleys. Stop at picturesque lookouts while driving through the Glass House Mountains National Park on the way to Montville where you will be staying at the elegant Spicers Clovelly Estate, framed by jacarandas, grand figs and groves of magnolias.

Day 13  Sunshine Coast

Explore the Sunshine Coast’s Hinterland and famous Eumindi market, visit the charming rural community of Maleny with magnificent views of rolling hills and mountains in all directions. Artisan wines and cheese can be tasted at local wineries and the Maleny Cheese Factory. Pick up a gourmet picnic basket and find the perfect spot by Lake Baroon, of head in to the stylish beachside town of Noosa for a sumptuous lunch.

Return your hire vehicle to Brisbane Airport in time for your flight back to the UK.
