    DAY 01

    Airport - Negombo

    On arrival you will be met by an Inspiring Travel Company representative and transfer the short distance to your hotel in Negombo. Jetwing Beach Hotel is ideally located on an excellent stretch of beach just 30 minutes from the airport and provides the perfect place to relax after an international flight before starting your tour.       DAY 02

      Negombo - Habarana

      Sigirya

      Drive to Habarana via the elephant orphanage. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Stay two nights at Cinnamon Lodge (or similar), with comfortable and spacious cottages sprinkled across the property. This is the central point of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle and the most convenient base for excursions to the Ancient historical cities. Hundreds of lakes and reservoirs are connected by an elaborate network of canals and make up a fascinating irrigation system. Accommodation Options

        DAY 03

        Sigirya Rock Fortress

        Sigirya

        Visit Sigirya rock fortress, then Minneriya National Park for a safari drive. Sigiriya Rock Fortress is one of seven World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka. This ancient rock fortress is a testament to ancient artistry and architectural ingenuity, and has many attractions - its gardens, the world renowned frescoes, the mirror wall and the dramatic history linked to the construction of the Lion Rock. Spend the afternoon at leisure or take an optional elephant back safari or jeep safari. Accommodation Options

          DAY 04

          Habarana - Nuwara Eliya

          Tea Country

          This morning head off to the quiet town of Nuwara Eliya, a journey of approximately 5 hours. At an altitude of nearly 2000 metres above sea level, Nuwara Eliya is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. The hillsides are blanketed with tea plantations and several estates offer guided tours so you can learn about the process of making your morning cuppa! Accommodation Options

            DAY 05

            Highland Tea Country

            Tea Country

            Today you will visit a tea plantation and factory, to observe the processes of manufacturing tea, from the tender green tips picked to the grading and packing. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea to check the quality in the factory! The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the highland tea country. Accommodation Options

              DAY 06

              Nuwara Eliya - Uda Walawe National Park


              Drive to Uda Walawe National Park. Udawalawe was established in 1972, covering an area of 30, 821 hectares and surrounded by magnificent mountain escarpments and lush scenery. Elephants are plentiful, with herds often playing in the water.

                DAY 07

                Uda Walawe National Park - Yala National Park

                Yala National Park

                Continue to Yala national Park. Spend two nights at Cinnamon Wild (or similar). Yala National park is one of Sri Lanka’s best know and most popular national parks. Originally the park was well known for its open terrain and resident Elephants. In recent years the relatively high population and regular sightings of the elusive Leopard have made the park a key stop on any tour of Sri Lanka. Other animals you may see include Elephants, Sloth Bears, Water Buffalo and 215 species of bird. Accommodation Options
