    UK - Toronto

    Upon arrival at Toronto International Airport you will be met by a representative of Tauck Tours and transferred to your hotel.       DAY 02

      Niagara Falls and Toronto

      Today you will travel south to the border of the USA and take a morning cruise to the base of the thundering Niagara Falls. You will have free-time to wander around the quaint Victorian-style village of Niagara-on-the-Lake and enjoy lunch at your leisure before returning to Toronto in the afternoon.         DAY 03

        Thousand Islands Cruise plus Ottawa

        Today you will leave for Ottawa. The journey will follow the St Lawrence River where you will take a leisurely lunch cruise through the scenic Thousand Islands, where elaborate mansions sit on their own private islands. An archipelago of more than 1,800 islands that straddles the USA and Canada border, Thousand Islands was a retreat for the wealthy in the 19th century.           This morning’s sightseeing tour includes guided visits to the city’s Parliament Buildings and House of Commons.             Meet a Mountie

            Meet a retired officer from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Force before continuing your tour on to the French-speaking city of Montreal in the province of Quebec. A lunch stop is taken at Chateau Vaudreuil on the shores of the Lake of Two Mountains. You will stay at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth for two nights.               DAY 06

              Walking and Tasting Tour of Old Montreal

              Explore old Montreal on a walking tour through its cobbled streets and city squares, admiring the 18th and 19th-century architecture, stopping along the way to sample local delicacies.                 DAY 07

                Visit a Sugar Shack and Montmorency Falls

                Your tour continues along the St Lawrence River to Trois-Rivieres. This city offers many art galleries and museums, as well as delightful walks through the centre. A stop is taken at a Quebecois sugar shack, where you will watch a maple sugar demonstration and sample some sweet treats. Another stop is at Montmorency Falls, where you will experience a tour and gondola ride, before arriving at Quebec City. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Accommodation Options

                  Quebec City and Ile d’Orleans

                  Familiarise yourself with this historic city on this morning’s tour, which will pass by La Citadelle de Quebec and Plains of Abraham. Your tour will take you to historic Ile d’Orleans, an island of bountiful farmland and red-roofed houses. Lunch will be taken in a historic French flour mill, before a cider tasting at a local farm.                     The entire day is free for you to explore Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.
