        Journey along the historic Natchez Trace Parkway – one of the most scenic, beautifully preserved and historic routes in all the country - to Jackson, the capital of Mississippi, which was used in the filming of 'The Help.’ Explore the art district of the city, Fondren, a hub of artistic expression through music and visual arts.           Jackson - Gulf Coast (150 miles)


          Travel from Jackson to the Gulf Coast to spend time relaxing on the state's 26 miles of beaches and stay in the seaside town of Biloxi known for its casinos. You can visit the Maritime and Seafood industry Museum and Beauvoir House, the former home of Jefferson Davis.             Gulf Coast


            If beach life is your cup of tea, take the opportunity to mark your spot on the beach and relax all day. For something more adventurous, board the ferry to Ship Island to go fishing and swimming on these two barrier islands and explore Fort Massachusetts, a historical fort and now tourist attraction.
