Take to the roads to discover the Treasures of Texas on this 11-night flexible fly-drive holiday. Texas is the second largest state in the U.S, and the locals claim everything is bigger and better here! The state is home to over 16-million cattle, so a true western cowboy experience can be had at Dixie Dude Ranch where you can enjoy two horseback rides per day. You will experience ever-changing landscapes from pine wood forests to the rolling hills of cattle country and cutting-edge cities. Visit the historic district of Fort Worth Stockyards which showcases Western heritage through its original brick walkways and wooden corrals. Fans of the television series Dallas can visit the Southfork Ranch that was made famous by the Ewing Family in the late 70's and 80's.

    Depart from the UK today and fly to Austin, the capital of Texas. Known as the 'Live Music Capital of the World', Austin is the place to enjoy music, with over 200 live music venues offering anything from blues, country and rock, a popular area for this is the lively Sixth Street.       Whilst in Austin, we recommend you visit to one of the many parks such as, the Zilker, be sure to take your swimsuit and take a dip in the three-acre spring fed Barton Springs Pool which has an average year-round temperature of 68 – 70 degrees Fahrenheit.         DAY 03

        Austin - Bandera (120 miles)

        Pick up your vehicle this morning for the two-hour journey south west to Bandera, known as the 'Cowboy Capital of the World'. Spend three nights at the Dixie Dude guest ranch where you will have the opportunity of taking two horseback rides a day and discover the cowboy life. Whilst in Bandera, explore the downtown area including the Frontier Times Museum where you can see performers every Saturday (from March through November) Accommodation Options

          DAY 04

          Settle in to your saddle for a scenic horseback ride over the unspoiled rugged Texas Hill Country at Dixie Dude Ranch, each ride lasts approximately one hour and are guided by experienced cowboys and cowgirls. The rest of the day is free for you to make use of the outdoor pool or enjoy off-ranch activities such as hiking, tubing and kayaking. Accommodation Options

            Another day to live your dream of becoming a cowboy or cowgirl. You will have the opportunity to take two horseback rides throughout the day, with the remaining time free for you to relax or enjoy more off-ranch activities.               Dixie Dude Ranch - San Antonio (54 miles)

              Drive one hour east to the charming city of San Antonio. Visit the historic Alamo, an 18th-century Spanish mission, and take the picturesque River Walk, a promenade lined with cafes and shops.                 Enjoy a day discovering San Antonio’s attractions. Visit the historic Mission San Jose, founded in 1720, or take a stroll through the attractive 38-acre botanical gardens. A popular attraction just outside of San Antonio are the Natural Bridge Caverns, an awe-inspiring underground network of caves filled with stalactites, stalagmites and flowstones. In the evening try and catch a show at the Spanish Mediterranean inspired Majestic Theatre. Accommodation Options

                  Continue your drive east to Houston. Not to be missed are visits to the Space Center, as well as Galleria, the country's fourth largest shopping mall.
