Itinerary

Day 1  New Orleans
Fly from the UK to New Orleans, collect your car on arrival at the airport and head to your downtown hotel.
Day 2  New Orleans
Spend the day exploring New Orleans with a visit to the French Quarter district of the city. Here Jackson Square is home to the iconic St Louis Cathedral, the Cabildo, (previously a city hall) and the Presbytere. Take a walk along Bourborn Street, well known for its bars and vibrant night life. Go shopping in the antique stores of Royal Street, discover the art of the city at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and travel on a traditional street car.
Day 3  New Orleans to Plantation Country (60 miles)
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The Plantation Country of Louisiana is located within easy driving distance of the city, under an hour's drive. Here you'll discover nine plantation homes. It's possible to explore a couple in a full day, and at each home, the guided tours are highly recommended to discover the full history behind each. A stay at Houmas House is a great base for your two nights in the Plantation Country and Baton Rouge. Houmas House is often described as the jewel of the homes, and also has a fantastic restaurant.
Day 4  Plantation Country
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
