Itinerary

Day 1  UK to Halifax
Upon Arriving in Halifax, pick up your rental car and head to your hotel to check in. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax and get acquainted with your new surroundings. Your hotel, The Prince George, is in the heart of Halifax’s cosmopolitan downtown area, close to several city attractions and the vibrant waterfront.
Day 2  Halifax City Tour & Peggy’s Cove Excursion
Start the day with meeting your guide for your private tour of Halifax’s most treasured historic sites. You will learn about the city’s complex history while enjoying incredible, scenic viewpoints. This morning’s tour is flexible so attractions could include the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic where you can immerse yourself in Nova Scotia’s rich seafaring heritage, from the early days of its shipyard, to its key role in Allied powers’ naval war effort during World War II. This afternoon your guide will take you to the scenic fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. Enjoy spectacular coastal vistas, stop for a fresh seafood lunch at an archetypal lobster shack, wander down the quaint streets and admire the colourfully painted New England-style houses perched above the inlet.
Day 3  Lunenburg Sailing Voyage
Head south to the picturesque port town of Lunenburg where you will meet with a local sailboat captain for a privately chartered voyage around Lunenburg Bay. Enjoy majestic views as your captain navigates along the shore revealing the beauty of the area. Discover curiously named “ovens” or sea caves that are dotted along the coastline and keep your eyes out for wildlife sightings. This afternoon your journey takes you through Nova Scotia’s lush interior to Trout Point Lodge, located in the heart of the Tobeatic Wilderness, a UNESCO-designated biosphere. Overnight at Trout Point Lodge
Day 4  Trout Point Forest Bathing & Cooking Class
This morning is all about leaving normal day to day stresses behind and connecting with nature on a guided, holistic ‘forest bathing’ wellness experience. This mindful walk takes you through densely forested areas, learning to practice mindfulness, reduce stress levels, and cleanse the toxins associated with modern urban life as you take in the pristine forest surroundings. This afternoon, meet one of the lodge’s talented chefs for a private, gourmet cooking class. You can focus on local Acadian cuisine, fresh pasta making, seafood preparation, or several other techniques. The choice is yours. Once your creation is ready, you can relax and enjoy your delicious lunch with a gourmet wine pairing. Overnight at Trout Point Lodge
Day 5  Trout Point to St. Andrews
Drive through Nova Scotia’s picturesque interior to the bay of Fundy and board the car ferry in the fishing town of Digby for a scenic crossing to New Brunswick, then continue your drive to the seaside resort town of St. Andrews. Your accommodation, Kingsbrae Arms, is an historic inn located adjacent to Kingsbrae Gardens where you can visit horticultural masterpieces and themed displays, featuring a Dutch windmill and more than 50,000 perennial flowers.
Day 6  St. Andrews Coastal Adventure
This morning you will embark on a private whale watching excursion by zodiac in the Bay of Fundy with a local marine biologist guide. Your guide will provide you with an insightful commentary on the creatures that call these waters home as you search for humpback, finback and minke whales. This afternoon, back on land, you will explore the New Brunswick countryside on a private guided 4X4 Jeep tour. The itinerary is flexible and subject to weather and tides - you could visit nearby Minister’s Island with its picturesque hiking trails and the opulent summer residence of railroad magnate, Sir William Van Horne, or engage in a tide-pooling safari with your marine biologist searching for sea stars and hermit crabs.
Staying at  Kingsbrae Arms
Day 7  Culinary Saint John
Today your self-drive adventure takes you to Saint John, capital of New Brunswick, for a seafood tasting tour with a passionate local foodie. Your guide will share the history of this charming seaside town and take you to the oldest continuously operating farmer’s market in Canada (originally founded in 1785), as well as stopping at craft brewery and gastropub where a variety of ales and lagers are paired with local, seafood-centric cuisine. After your culinary tour of Saint John is complete, you continue your drive to the nearby city of Moncton.
Day 8  Hopewell Rocks & Prince Edward Island
Witness the world’s highest tides at Hopewell Rocks. Your private guide will walk you down to the ocean floor from where you will get a grasp of the depth and magnitude of this incredible phenomenon. This afternoon, cross the Confederation Bridge to Atlantic Canada’s smallest province, Prince Edward Island. The island is landmarked by lighthouses, sand dunes and historic fishing villages. Your accommodation in Charlottetown is housed in lovingly restored heritage buildings situated within the city’s National Historic District. Overnight at The Great George
Day 9  Prince Edward Island Sightseeing & Lobstering Experience
Explore Prince Edward Island at your own pace on a customizable self-guided tour. There are many points of interest and adventures for you to enjoy such as Victoria, a village frozen-in-time, the Green Gables House and Dalvay-by-the-Sea, a national historic site. This evening, head for the harbour where you will board a ship for a private hands-on lobstering experience. Haul in your catch as you learn the importance of the lobster fishery to Prince Edward Island’s economy. Take in the beautiful harbour scenery as dinner is prepared onboard. Overnight at The Great George
Day 10  Charlottetown to Fox Harb’r Resort
Today you leave Prince Edward Island and make your way back to Nova Scotia, arriving at Fox Harb’r Resort, an upscale yet laid-back golf resort on the northern shore of the Northumberland Strait. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the resort or enjoy fantastic amenities including a golf-course, tennis courts, mountain bikes and sea kayaking, or just relax at the spa and take a dip in one of the resort’s mineral pools. Overnight at Fox Harb’r Resort
Day 11  Nova Scotia to Fogo Island
Today you will return to Halifax for your flight to the provincial town of Gander in Newfoundland & Labrador. On arrival you will be transferred to the car ferry and sail across the stunning Hamilton Sound to Fogo Island. Fogo Island is a fascinating and remote destination where the landscape has been carved out by wind, fire, ice and sea over 420 million years. You will spend three days at the award-winning Fogo Island Inn, a one-of-a-kind property perched on what seems to be the edge of the world. The Fogo Island Inn is truly unique in that it’s operated as a non-profit organisation, with 100% of its operational surpluses reinvested back into the community.
Day 12  Fogo Island Private Guided Hike and Boil Up
Today you will join a local naturalist, geologist or community host for a private hike. Choose from 14 different trails, each offering their own unique rewards and challenges. You are likely to encounter local flora and fauna along the way, such as carnivorous plants, edible wild berries, caribou and puffins.
