    Travel to Vancouver

    Fly from the UK to Vancouver, collect your car at the airport depot and drive downtown to your hotel. After you have settled in spend the late afternoon and evening exploring this cosmopolitan city at your leisure.

      DAY 02

      Vancouver to Sunshine Coast (64 Miles)

      Drive north out of Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay, and board one of the frequent BC Ferries to Langdale at the start of British Columbia's Sunshine Coast. The 45 minute scenic cruise sails through fjord like waters and past forest cloaked mountains. Disembark the ferry at Langdale and continue your drive along the stunning scenic route passing through coastal fishing villages and forests until to reach the West Coast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont.         DAY 03

        Set in pristine wilderness and boasting unsurpassed scenery on British Columbia's west coast, the area is perfect for outdoor pursuits and adventures.           DAY 04

          Sunshine Coast to Quadra Island (47 miles)

          Campbell River

          On leaving Egmont, travel north to Earls Cove where you will board BC Ferries for your 50 minute cruise to Saltery Bay. Continue your scenic drive to Powell River where you board the BC Ferry across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. A short drive north brings you to Campbell River where you board one final ferry to Quadra Island and check-in in to April Point Resort. The resort is set on the pristine shores of Quadra Island overlooking Discovery Bay. Accommodation Options

            Eco Wilderness Cruise to Desolation Sound

            By Zodiac, you will cruise through the breathtaking Desolation Sound with its fjords, mountains and wildlife. Explore this beautiful and serene wilderness and look out for black bears foraging in their natural habitat. Accommodation Options

              DAY 06

              Quadra Island to Tofino (140 miles)

              Tofino

              After a short ferry crossing from Quadra Island to Campbell River, you will continue your drive south-west across Vancouver Island to the Pacific Coast town of Tofino. The scenic drive is spectacular, driving through forests and over mountain passes. There are many photographic opportunities along the journey. We recommend a stop at Cathedral Grove where you can wander through forests of gigantic 800 year old Douglas Firs and Cedar trees. Accommodation Options

                DAY 07

                Tofino

                Tofino

                Set on the wild Pacific Coast, Tofino is one of Canada's premier surfing destinations and draws visitors to explore its coastal trails and join wildlife tours in search of whales and black bears. Today you will join a 3 hour whale watching excursion through Clayoquot Sound, revealing spectacular scenery and wildlife including porpoises, sea lions, gray whales and killer whales. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the area or take a leisurely stroll along Long Beach. Accommodation Options

                  DAY 08

                  Tofino to Victoria (195 miles)

                  Victoria

                  Return to the east coast of Vancouver Island and then south to Victoria, British Columbia's Capital City. Stop en-route at the artist community town of Chemainus, where murals adorn the building's exterior walls and wander around Duncan, the 'City of Totems'. Accommodation Options

                    Today is free for you to explore Victoria, enjoy the quintessentially English tradition of afternoon tea at the very grand Fairmont Empress Hotel and wander around the quaint harbour. Admission to the 50 acre floral display at Burchart Gardens is included. Accommodation Options

                      DAY 10

                      Victoria to Vancouver (43 miles plus ferry)


                      Depart Victoria and head for Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal for a 90 minute crossing to Tsawwassen before returning to Vancouver Airport where you will drop off your hire vehicle and catch your flight back to the UK.
